The Challenge
COVID-19 changed our lives forever
I had the privilege of designing an app for our university recreation center (RecWell) during the pandemic to help Elon University students reserve, plan, and share their workouts safely. Due to strict rules on how many machines could be in use at one time, it was important to provide students with a tool that would eliminate the need to go to the gym and check if equipment was available. With RecWell Reserve, students can view equipment availability from the safety of their homes, reserve equipment and plan their workouts accordingly.

I created wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
Content Writer
I created and tested written content for the website, "RecWell Reserve". I finalized written copy to ensure cohesion and effective/clear communication of the site's purpose and value to users.
Design Solution
The app provides a simple and easy-to-use interface, with real-time updates on the availability of equipment and workout spaces, allowing students to plan their workouts effectively and efficiently. RecWell Reserve also allows students to share their workout schedules with friends, helping to build a community around fitness. By designing this app, I was able to contribute to the health and safety of Elon University students during a challenging time, and help them stay active and healthy despite the restrictions on gym access.
